Who we are
Redefining Dental Care in the UK
Like the Nobel Prize and the paperclip, Complete Smiles began in Norway, where dental care is calm, considerate and quietly excellent. Our founding dentist, Dr Malavi Sivakanesan, grew up in Norway and wanted to bring the signature Nordic sensibility to the UK with a clinic that radically transformed how people here experience the dentist. What began as a small clinic in Harrow has now expanded into four practices across the UK. Each Complete Smiles clinic is built to address a very common problem: going to the dentist should never be something to dread. Our clinics are designed to feel warm and calm rather than cold and clinical, where every patient is spoken to honestly without rushing, and would always be told exactly what a treatment involves and what it will cost. We are here to make quality dentistry something ordinary families can reach. From routine check-ups to complex smile restorations, we make comprehensive dental care within reach and without fear for patients of all ages. At Complete Smiles, the treatment is built around you, not the other way around.
Our Founder
Led by Dr Malavi Sivakanesan
Complete Smiles was founded by Dr Malavi Sivakanesan, who is also our principal dentist. She qualified as a dentist in Norway, receiving a Master’s in Dentistry from the University of Bergen in 2019. When she resettled in the UK after marriage, she brought her family's dental business with her, but with a mission of her own. Sitting in a garden shed in her home with a wad of sticky notes, she mapped out the kind of practice she wished had existed. Her vision grew into the Complete Smiles people know today, and Dr Malavi leads it with the same patients-first, straight-talking approach she started with. Her work has earned accolades, including a finalist place for Young Dentist of the Year at the 2024 Private Dentistry Awards. She is a passionate advocate for the profession and for fairer access to care. She also founded the Smiles Trust Foundation to bring dental care to underprivileged people in the UK. For Dr Malavi, good dentistry will always be about the patient.

2020
Complete Smiles UK is founded
A small private clinic opens on College Road, Harrow Town Centre.
2021
Harrow-on-the-Hill opens
A second Harrow practice opens, later becoming our out-of-hours emergency clinic.
2025
Stafford joins the group
Our first practice outside London brings private care to Eccleshall, Stafford and the wider county.
2025
Bournemouth opens
The south coast practice launches alongside the Patient Access Grant for implant patients.

Complete Smiles UK was founded in 2020 by Dr Malavi Sivakanesan. She grew up and qualified as a dentist in Norway, and resettled in the UK after marriage. What started as a single practice in Harrow is now a family-run group with four clinics in the UK.
We have four practices across the country, in Harrow Town Centre, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Stafford and Bournemouth. Wherever you visit, you will find the same standard of care, the same honest approach, and the same warm environment.
Yes, we are a private dental practice, with clear upfront pricing, a low-cost initial consultation, 0% finance options, and a price match guarantee for some treatments.
Complete Smiles is the only dental clinic in the UK to offer 0% financing for up to 3 years for advanced treatments like dental implants. Our clinics are the only ones in Bournemouth and Stafford to make patient grants available for dental implants. We also offer All-on-4 prices that are distinctly cheap while using high-end implant brands like Straumann.
