When to come in
If you think you cannot wait, we can connect you with an after-hours emergency dentist in Harrow in no time.
Some toothaches don't respond to painkillers at all. That's often a sign of infection. Get it checked soon.
With a knocked-out tooth, act fast. See a dentist inside the hour. That's your best shot at keeping it.
Bleeding gums should ease once you apply pressure. If it doesn't, treat it as urgent.
Swelling in the face or jaw can mean an infection is spreading. This needs prompt attention.
A bad break can hurt. It might leave a sharp edge too. Either way, get it looked at the same day.
Losing a filling or crown leaves the tooth exposed. It can quickly turn sensitive and sore.

Treatment questions
A few clear answers can make an urgent visit feel less stressful.

Our Harrow-on-the-Hill practice is open around the clock, every day of the year. The after-hours part covers 9 pm to 9 am. That's when our on-call team takes over urgent cases.
The after-hours fee is £100. It pays for the dentist and nurse staying on call overnight. Any treatment you have is charged 20% above the usual rate. This only applies to bookings between 9 pm and 9 am.
Booking takes a few minutes. From there, most people are seen within two hours. Your dentist will see you the same night, either at the practice or over video call.
Online is the quickest route. You'll get an instant SMS and email to confirm. You can also message us or call the emergency line. Just note that messages aren't confirmed until we ring you back, so online is best when it's late.
